Odoo OAuth Provider.

Identity and access for Odoo

Odoo OAuth Provider features

A standards-based authorization server inside Odoo, managed with the users and groups you already have.

Authorization server

Supports the OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow with PKCE, the recommended flow for web, mobile and desktop applications.

OpenID Connect

Issues OpenID Connect ID tokens and provides a user info endpoint, so client applications receive the user’s name and email.

Client applications

Register client applications in Odoo, with their redirect URIs, credentials and allowed scopes.

Scopes and consent

Users see which application is asking for access, and what it will be able to see, before they approve it.

Tokens

Access tokens are short-lived, refresh tokens keep users signed in, and any token can be revoked at any time.

Odoo users and groups

Only active Odoo users can sign in, and you can limit each application to specific Odoo groups.

FAQ

Odoo OAuth Provider questions

What does an Odoo OAuth provider do?

Odoo includes OAuth sign-in so users can log in to Odoo with providers such as Google. An OAuth provider works the other way: other applications use Odoo as the identity provider, and users sign in to them with their Odoo accounts.

What can I use it for?

Single sign-on for customer and partner portals, internal tools and dashboards, and AI connectors. Any application that supports OAuth 2.0 or OpenID Connect sign-in can use Odoo as its identity provider.

Does it work with the Odoo MCP Server?

Yes. AI assistants sign in to the Odoo MCP Server through OAuth Provider, so each assistant acts as a specific Odoo user, with that user’s access rights.

Which Odoo versions does OAuth Provider support?

OAuth Provider is supported on Odoo 19.

How is OAuth Provider licensed?

Pricing depends on your Odoo setup and the scope of the implementation. Book a demo and we will prepare a quote for your business.

Who implements and supports OAuth Provider?

OAuth Provider is developed, implemented and supported by Aphid Consulting, an Odoo Silver Partner.
