What is CPQ for Odoo?

CPQ stands for configure, price, quote. A CPQ system guides a salesperson, or a customer, through choosing the options for a product, calculates the correct price from those choices and produces a quote that is ready to send.

Odoo's standard Sales app already handles product variants, optional products and pricelists. That works well for simple catalogs. Products with many options, dependencies between options, or prices that depend on the configuration need more: rules that prevent invalid combinations, prices that update as options change, and quotes that describe exactly what was configured.

Aphid CPQ for Odoo adds that layer inside Odoo, so configurations, prices and quotes live in the same database as your customers, inventory and accounting.

Does Odoo have built-in CPQ?

Odoo Sales includes product variants, a product configurator for attributes and optional products, and pricelists. Businesses with complex rules, dependent options or configuration-based pricing usually add a dedicated CPQ module such as Aphid CPQ for Odoo.

Is Aphid CPQ for Odoo made by Odoo?

No. Aphid CPQ for Odoo is developed, implemented and supported by Aphid Consulting, an Odoo Silver Partner. It is an Odoo CPQ solution that runs inside your Odoo database, but it is not a product of Odoo S.A.

Which Odoo versions does Aphid CPQ for Odoo support?

Aphid CPQ for Odoo is supported on Odoo 19. Support for Odoo 20 is coming soon.

Can customers configure products on our website?

Yes. Aphid CPQ for Odoo works on the Odoo eCommerce front end as well as in Odoo Sales. Customers configure products with the same rules and pricing your sales team uses, then order or request a quote online.

Does it work with Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and on-premise Odoo?

Aphid CPQ for Odoo is installed as an Odoo module, so it runs on Odoo.sh and on-premise Odoo. Odoo Online does not allow third-party modules. If you are on Odoo Online, Aphid Consulting can advise on moving to Odoo.sh.

Can configured products create bills of materials or manufacturing orders?

Confirmed configurations become standard Odoo sales orders, so they follow your existing Inventory and Manufacturing workflows. How each configuration maps to components and bills of materials is set up with you during implementation.

How is Aphid CPQ for Odoo licensed and supported?
